ICVolontaires-Mali

ICVolunteers-Mali is a Mali-based non-governmental organization. Its aim is the recruitment, training and coordination of volunteers for non-profit projects (language services, cybervolunteerism and conference support).

ICVolunteers-Mali is ICVolunteers' Malian antenna, a worldwide network of volunteers specialized in the field of communications and working with volunteers from some 100 countries. Founded in 2005, ICVolunteers-Mali has the aim and mission to manage ICVolunteers African projects. Based in Bamako, ICVolunteers-Mali works in close collaboration with the Federation of ICVolunteers, thus benefiting from its experience and international network.

Activities

As a Malian Association, ICVolunteers-Mali cultivates an African vision. Our activities are in agreement with the philosophy and ethics of ICVolunteers, but aim to focus on priorities of its working environment, such as, for example, training programs through volunteerism, responding to very specific and tangible needs, such as the ones of local communities. Learn more about our projects...

Our Programs

ICVolunteers-Mali proposes a large range of opportunities, for both for volunteers and for partner organizations (public and private entities, non-governmental organizations and international institutions).

• Language Program
  ICVolunteers-Mali recruits, trains and coordinates volunteers who have communication skills in particular in the field of languages (accompanying of communities in their mastering of languages, interpretation, translation, documentation of events and formalizing of conference results).
• CyberVolunteerism
  The CyberVolunteers Program recruits, trains and coordinates volunteers with skills in information and communication technology (ICT) for development. Volunteers participate in local, regional and international projects for a period of several weeks or months, offering their skills in areas such as web or software development, system administration and content generation.
• Conferences
  Our organization offers assistance to organizers of non-profit conferences and events (social, humanitarian, scientific and environmental). We solicit, train and coordinate volunteers for conferences, in particular in the fields of conference logistics, report writing and language services (translation and interpretation).

Team

ICVolunteers-Mali's Managing Board is composed of: Adama Samassekou (Honorary President), Soumaïla Bayni TRAORE (President), Vice Président : M. Boubacar BOCOUM (Vice President), M. Alioune GUEYE (Administration), Mohamed El Moctar MAHAMAR (Human and Volunteer Resources) Moctar TRAORE (Research and Strategic Planning), Amadou DOUMBIA (Programmes), Cheick Oumar COULIBALY (Legal Questions).

Day-to-day operations are managed by the coordination team, composed of: Tidiani TOGOLA (Coordinator), Mariam TOGOLA (Volunteer Coordinator), Oumar DIAMOUTENE (Research and Development), Papa SAMBA DIARRA (Administration and Finance), Djibril SACKO (Communications).
