Project detailsCasa Alianza is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to the reintegration of street children in Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and Nicaragua. It was founded in Guatemala in 1981, then expanded to Honduras and Mexico in 1986, and to Nicaragua in 1998. Casa Alianza. takes care of close to 9,000 street children per year, most of them orphans as a consequence of the civil war, abused and pushed away by poor and dysfunctional families, and then even more traumatized by the inequalities of the societies in which they live. The fundraising dinner was organized by Casa Alianza in Geneva to raise funds linked to organizations street educator program, but also to raise awareness about the problems of street children.
