Graduate Institute of Development Studies (IUED)
About IUED
Created in 1961, under the name "Institut Africain de Genève", the Graduate Institute of Development Studies, Geneva, has the main objective of promoting teaching and research concerning development and to encourage students from the South.
Its vision is to raise questions in their globality and diversity (social, economic, environmental) and to strengthen links between theory and experience, reflection and action.
The Graduate Institute of Development Studies is attached to the University of Geneva. Nevertheless, our institute is an independent foundation.
About the Event
For the past ten years IUED has been organizing conferences on themes linking development with gender relationship.
The first conference, held in 1995, was in tilted "Cities, environment and gender.Today, it seems to be the right time to evaluate the international research conducted with a network of investigation teams during the past seven years and in seven different countries (Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Burkina Faso, Bulgaria and Rumania).
Volunteer interpreters took care of consecutive interpretation in the following languages: English, French and Spanish.
Meals and refreshments provided.
