It represents an opportunity to maximize the exchanges between City Mayors and representatives of various organizations. Leading city mayors from Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe will gather in Geneva on April 12-13, 2012 for a forum and series of workshops concentrating on the increasing importance of cities as innovators in managing global issues from climate change and growing inequalities, to migration, health and safety. Hosted by Mayor Pierre Maudet, the youngest Mayor of the City of Geneva to date, and in partnership with the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, this unique high-level event will serve to highlight the key role of cities in the international arena and will bring together city mayors who are paving the way forward in creative ways.
