Project details

It's time to see each other again! We are happy to invite you to share a pleasant moment in our company

Wednesday 22nd March at 7 pm
at the Restaurant Cité Jardin, Cité Universitaire, 46, avenue de Miremont in Geneva

By organizing this annual evening, we would like to strengthen our relationship, encourage new friendships, and share our experience. But most importantly, we want to thank you for your continuous commitment and support to ICVolunteers thanks to which we have been able to carry out an increasing number of projects, leading to the creation of an international federation last year.

The General Assembly being compulsory, we will have as our 7 pm appetizer the official part, where a range of topics will be discussed, including the presentation and approval of our accounts for 2005, the presentation of the budget and the projects for 2006. Last but not least, we will elect our two committees.

Once the serious matters dealt with, an aperitif will be served, in order to encourage our appetite.

We will be able to enjoy a meal, soft drinks and wine, around 8.30 pm, while Sébastien Gabriel, a singer from Quebec, will entertain us. The meal, including drinks, costs SFR 22.

We would be grateful if you could confirm your participation by 15 March 2006 by means of the enclosed form. For any further information, do not hesitate to contact Nancy at 022 800 14 36.

Impressions from the evening

Fire-eater, juggler, comedian, acrobat and chansonnier: everything was planned so that participants to the General Assembly of ICVolunteers would spend a pleasant evening at the restaurant "Cité Jardin" in Geneva.

After the aperitif, guests sat around a nicely dressed table. A delicious meal had been prepared for them: chicken, basmati rice, mix of vegetables, with an excellent scented Beaujolais, a Fleuri. They shared their thoughts on the official part that had taken place earlier on in this warm atmosphere.

Participants specially appreciated the song interpreted by two talented Québécois: the chansonnier Sébastien Gabriel and Nancy Gagné Bolle who had organised the event and is part of the fundraising team of ICV-Switzerland.

The official part went very well. Accounts for 2005 were presented and then unanimously approved. After the presentation of the budget and the projects for 2006, Viola asked Marie Hervouët, a young French volunteer, to present the new entity of ICV, ICV-France. Members of the committee were re-elected at the same position.

Almost forty people participate to the General Assembly on 22 March 2006. Some of them took advantage of the aperitif and the meal to meet. The evening ended at around 1am and was a great success. The ICV team is looking forward to meeting again at the next General Assembly.
